He was born in 1724 so could not have wed Ann Race in 1729. Years ago, when I was researching my Richard, I wondered who the Richard was that wed Ann and was not able to identify anyone. I came to the conclusion that the marriage date was wrong and may have been 1749 instead of 1729 or this Richard may have left the state. If he did, it may have been to Northumberland Co, Pa as early as 1774, as shown at this Tax list website with a Zachariah,John, James, Richard, Aaron Robbins. Richard had 252.4 acres he paid tax upon and Richard had 176.3 acres, in Augusta Twp. Also, the Pa Archives 3rd series vol#25 listed a William Robbins as a land owner in Sunbury(as well as Richard). William had several lots, as well as 150 acres as of 3/16/1789. Apparently Zachariah was active with the church there; having dug its well, and donated other items such as stone or brick for the construction of the church itself. The mentioning of an Aaron is on line at the Northumberland Co, Pa web sites. If you Google Northumberland Co, Pa it will come up with several documents that have been placed on line. Perhaps this Zachariah is the son of Daniel Robbins and Mary Parker. He had a brother John, but I don't have a William. Perhaps this William is the one discussed earlier, being confused with the English birthplace? John had 400 acres, as of 4/22/1793, and another 5 acres a John had in 11/10/1829. Thia also from the same Pa archives vol and series as above. I'm trying to connect my Stephen and his brother Daniel Rob(b)ins born 1768 and 1765 respectively. Possibility that they are cousins, although they recieved land grant in Ontario of 200 acres each in 1798, which was normally reserved for Loyalists, or children of Loyalists. I haven't been able to piece together documentation in the Ontario archives. He had 3 children, John, Benjamin and Isabella. Loyalist records are on British films as thy held extensive interviews with Loyalists when they went to Canada. I received much info about my Richard from these films. The David Library is devoted to the Revolutionary War and was originally privately owned. It is a great library -- I was in heaven when I saw the extensive film on my Loyalist Richard Robins -- a dozen pages devoted to him. He was interviewed in Nova Scotia before going to Prince Edward Island. The interviews were the basis for determiming Loyalist compensatiom. I'm sure major Gemealogy Libraries must have the films -- Salt Lake City, Ft Wayne, Boston etc. The films are called "Great Britain Audit Office Records of American Loyalists Claims Commission 1776-1831" John Taylor
