Robbins, b. 1875 "in New Jersey" Hi all - The subject information is all I have about George J. Robbins, other than that he married Eliza J. "Jennie" Chandler on 24 Oct. 1896 in Manhattan County, NY. I will post it in the group's link area for reference. Do you have a NJ county of birth for George J. Robbins? Robbins, b. 1875 "in New Jersey" I'm afraid not - only that he was born in NJ - I know that his wife was born in Manhattan, and it has been a while, but I think I tracked down via census records that he was an insurance clerk that worked in NYC and his wife appears to have worked for the same agency. Their daughter (my husband's grandmother) was born in Brooklyn with a twin that died at birth. So my geography is a little off, it appears (I was thinking that the part of Jersey near NYC was south, but looking at the map I see that's not so). At any rate, I know that by my husband's parents time the Robbins/ Gregory families appear to have been living in Bayonne. So I can see that we may not have much to share on this particular line - but in genealogy, one never knows. I'll probably lurk in the background unless/until I see something that looks like it may fit. Robbins, b. 1875 "in New Jersey" Kay, Our web address is a little misleading since it incorporates the words southjersey but we aren't limited to this specific geographical area. We have members doing Robins/Robbins research in all NJ counties, PA, Ohio, the midwest, southern states & Canada. The family of Daniel & Hope Potter Robins is the primary focus for most of our members & their descendants can be found all over the USA & Canada. You are very welcome to lurk. Occasionally we do like to know if members are still interested or if you change your e-mail address. Anytime you believe the site is no longer useful to your research, just e-mail me & we will remove your name. Sara
