Robbins Photo Tom, I posted the picture of Capt George Robbins to see if anyone here could identify him & his line. He doesn't belong to the line of Richard Robbins. It would be great if we could find his place on the Robbins family tree. Capt. Robbins was a member of Company H.,14th NJ Regiment Infantry Volunteers. The 14th was made up of recruits from the following counties: Mercer Co, Companies B&I, Middlesex Co.,Companies H&K, Monmouth Co., A,D,& G, Ocean Co.,F, Union Co.,C&E. It's possible Middlesex Co was his home county but no guarantee. The 14th's basic training was at Camp Vredenburgh near Freehold on ground where the Battle of Monmouth was fought during the Rev. War. Major battles fought by the 14th NJ were at Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor & Monocacy. Robbins Photo Sara, I did an Ancestry.com search of the census and a George W. Robbins popped up for the 1860 census in New Jersey. Could be the same person. His age would be similar to the person in the photo. This George W.'s father was William T. Robbins. I found a person who had both of them in a family tree, and sent her an email requesting additional information. The reason I'm asking is that the photo reminded me of my brother Timothy. When I did the cenus search, William and family lived in Hamilton, Mercer County, NJ, the same town as my Gr. Gr. Grandfather Nathan Robbins. I don't see a William T. Robbins in my line, but he could be from Moses, or Ben's line. Tom
