I sourced John and Elijah from History of Hunterdon and Somerset Counties, New Jersey, with Illustrations and Biographical sketches of its Prominent Men and Pioneers. page 418 by James P. Snell. Deats gave the siblings of Godfrey Case as the following: John Case Jacob Case (1765 - 1850) m. Anna Learch William Case m. Anna "History" adds: Peter Mary m. Peter Bloom Elizabeth Margaret m. David Stem Charity m. Lewis Rope Catherine m. John Case "History" had these children as siblings for Godfrey's child John Case: Levi m. ______ Bunn Mary m. Lewis Drake Margaret m. William Besson Catherine m. Spencer Alpaugh Susan m. Henry Eckel I also found this undated obituary clipping in the Deats folder" Elijah R. Case dies at Frenchtown Sunday Elijah Rittenhouse Case, a prominent citizen of Frenchtown, died at his home there on Sunday, February 4, 1934, at the age of 85. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1874 with the degree of Bachelor of Science and three years later was awarded the Master of Science degree. Mr. Case devoted much of his time to the study of paleontology and geology. For many years he conducted a saw mill and ice plant north of Frenchtown. he personally mapped out plans for the ice pond and plants on the property and supervised their construction. Eighteen years ago he retired. Mr. Case was born in Alexandria Township on May 4, 1848, a son of the late John W. and Eliza Rittenhouse Case. He was the brother of the late Joseph R. Case, of Everittstown, and of the late Dr. Levi W. Case, of Montclair. he attended the Hightstown School for Boys and was graduated from Lafayete College, specializing in civil engineering and geology. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jane Sutton Case, a daughter, Mrs. Harlan Besson, wife of the United States District Atttorney of New Jersey, who resides at Frenchtown, and a granddaughter, Miss Roberta Besson. He was a member of Frenchtown Presbyterian Church and of the Bucks county Historical Society. Funeral services will be held this (Wednesday) morning at 11 o'clock, at his late home. Interment in the Frenchtown cemetery. His daugher, per the 1910 Alexandria U.S. Census, was Addie Case. Margaret, wife of John Case, born 1761, died 1808.
