I have been corrected regarding my post of the following information:

"2.  THOMAS4 LAKE (JOHN JOHN3, JOHN2, JOHN1) was born Abt. 1690, and died Bef.
October 19, 1765 in Amwell, Hunterdon, NJ.  He married JANNETJE SUTPHEN.

Children of THOMAS LAKE and JANNETJE SUTPHEN are:
 i. JOHN THOMAS5 LAKE, m. MARY THOMAS HALL.
 ii. GARRET THOMAS LAKE.
5. iii. WINEFREAT THOMAS LAKE.
 iv. SARAH JOHN LAKE, m. UNKNOWN BETS.
 v. CATHRINE JOHN LAKE, m. UNKNOWN SUTPHEN.
 vi. ANN JOHN LAKE.
 vii. ELLEN JOHN LAKE, m. UNKNOWN LAKE."

Published work by both Fred Sisser and Norman Stryker place a different
Thomas Lake (one married to Jannetje Stryker) in this family.

The death date and children I attributed to Thomas come from the 11 Feb
1755 will of Thomas Lake of Amwell Twp, Hunterdon, NJ. This Thomas was
also married to a Jane, but he appears not to be the son of John Lake and
Neeltjen Smit.
