MILITARY.-- At a meeting held at Barley Sheaf, on Thursday evening last,
for the purpose of organizing a troop of Cavalry, Col. William Briggs, was
called to the Chair, and Daniel M. Lake, appointed Sec'y.  We understand
several gentlemen enrolled their names, and it is believed enough more
are ready and willing to subscribe to the roll to form a large company in
the township of Readington.  The next meeting will be held at Centreville
on Thursday evening of this week.  A general invitation is extended.
