Robbins - married Pierson (aka Pearson) Coleman Mack Some years ago I had been sent some information, no sources cited,no further details, that a "Pearson"/Pierson Coleman Mack born 1815, NY married first to a Lidia R. Robbins, born in New Jersey. I ignored it for many years since I did not have time for collateral lines - but now, am trying to update my database and trying to find if this is so or not, since I do spend a lot of time trying to help other Mack descendants. On the 1850 census in Ohio, there is a Lydia Mack, age 34 with childen, born NJ and next door is a "Moses and Rebecca Robins" ages 63 and 59, born New Jersey who have one of the Mack children in their home - am I correct in assuming that these are the parents of Lydia Mack and that, indeed, Lydia is Lydia R. Robbins? It, of course, seems obvious, but I know better than to assume what I see is what it seems to be. One never assumes anything in genealogy is one of the two things taught to me, along with "document, document, document." Does anyone have more details on Lydia and her parents?
