Bartholomew Thatcher, born May 10, 1735 O.S., was the son of Joseph
Thatcher and Margaret Hull  of  Kingwood, Hunterdon County, NJ.
The problem is his wife Ann or Nan.  She was born November 25, 1736 O. S.
and we have never found her last name.  All searches for a marriage bond
for Bartholomew and Ann have failed.  I only conclude they may not have
married in New Jersey?   The date of marriage would have been circa 1756.
My Bart, there were lots of Bart Thatchers, fought for the British and
in 1783, was sent to New Brunswick.  He returned about 10 years later to
his confiscated farm in Kingwood.  He later remarried a Margaret Gamble
or Campbell.  Son Abel married Mary Lake.  Mary married Gilbert Van Cam;
Hannah married Jerome Emmons;  Grace wed James McAtee;  Charles married
Elizabeth Unknown  and Susan Emmons.  Margaret married Jonathan Walton.
