You have done a great job & your sources are good. I agree with your thought that A.K. Robbins wasn't a deserter & that many soldiers accused of desertion were not really deserters but often in the hospital, on furlough, serving elsewhere or a POW. What an injustice that A.K. Robbins spent his life trying to have the label "deserter" removed from his record & he never received any pension. From what you found in his military record, he certainly earned a pension & deserved compensation. The Civil War service of A.K. Robbins & his 5 brothers is impressive. Hopefully, a Robbins from this line will be found to take a Y-DNA test & confirm a link to the Daniel Robins family. Thanks so much sharing your work. Sara
