I have located my birth mother and three siblings. I am now searching for my birth father. The only information I have from my birth mother is that they were never married, he was a truck driver, and his name is Michael Webb. I often worry folks who have children looking for them are concerned of their intention and therefor don't identify themselves. I want nothing more than a conversation (email/mail/in person) and maybe a picture. I have found many "blood" relatives through this site as a result of the DNA test, but none have any links to a Webb family and paternally none are closer than a second cousin match. If anyone knows of a Michael Webb who would have driven trucks in the late 70s or early 80s in the New Jersey area I would appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide. Thank you. Desperately need help. https://www.ancestry.com/boards/localities.northam.usa.states.newjersey.counties.mercer/1257 Sun, 27 Aug 2017 15:35:15 GMT I have tried for the past ten years to locate the grave (unmarked I am sure) of a Civil War Surgeon who is buried in Hopewell somewhere. His name was Dr. Henry Newton Young and he died in East Amwell, Hunterdon County on 9/12/1896. His death certificate states that he was buried in Hopewell. A local newspaper obit also states burial in Hopewell. Last but not least an excerpt from his probated will stating that if he died in Milford he should be buried there in his brother’s plot (he did not die, nor is he buried in Milford according to their cemetery records) or in the family plot in Hopewell. His wife died in Illinois many years before him so that is no help. He also had no issue. Based upon my research to date he is apparently in the Highland Cemetery and this is where my problem lies. I have, for years literally, tried to establish contact with the folks who have the burial records so that I may confirm my hypotheses that Doctor Young is in the family plot there (there are many Young family members buried there). However my efforts have been ignored and evidently fallen on deaf ears. Letters, phone calls with messages left, and the internet have accomplished nothing. I have even tried contacting the local government, Paul Pogorzelski, the Township Administrator, and even he cannot find any information on where these records are. I would love to view these records personally, but that may not be allowed. There is a possibility that he may be buried as "Henry Young”, “Newton Young”, “Henry Newton”, “Newton Henry”, etc., etc., if you get my drift. There must be someone in Mercer County land who would be willing to help me. My new books, “Civil War Bones” should be published in the near future and I would love to include Dr. Young among the over 48,000 entries I now have. I know when she first came over from Scotland in 1882 and she lived and worked in Trenton painting designs on China plates. She may have been married to a man named ? Harkins and after he died she married a man named Patrick Cooney about 1880-85 for sure. Her maiden name was Sharkey. She was born in 1855 in Scotland. I think she is buried with the Cooneys and they were from Ireland. Any help I would appreciate it. I live in Bucks county, PA and I really want to drive over and find her grave. I have been looking for it since the late 1980s. I believe Obadiah's parents are Joseph, b. 1790-1800, and Margaret, b. 1799-1807. Siblings may include: Charles, b. 1824-1827, perhaps m1. Susan, m2. Eliza Ann; Sarah Elizabeth, b. abt 1830, m. Mathias Shipe; Margaret, b. abt 1836, may have m. Mr. Manard/Maynard; Henry, b. abt 1843; William H., b. abt 1835. Henry & William H. may be the same person, as they are never enumerated in census records the same year. Do Joseph or Margaret Wiley have wills filed in Mercer county? Where are Joseph & Margaret buried? Does the Titusville Methodist Church have records available to the public? Would love to sort this family out! I have a family line I'm trying to put together and could use some help with vital record details. Annie May Sheppard was born in Monkton, Md 1876 to John W and Mary C Sheppard. The family is living in Trenton, NJ based on a social notes article dated 6/28/1896. Miss Annie is mentioned as Sheppard, so is single at that time. By John W Sheppard's obit Aug 29 1909, Annie is now Mrs Annie Fuhrman. In an Aug 31 1913 paper, Annie is Mrs Samuel Fuhrman. I am looking for a marriage date for Annie and Samuel. I am going to assume the marriage took place in Trenton. Annie dies around Nov 18 1917. She is listed as Mrs Anna M Fuhrman, daughter of the late John W and Mary C Sheppard. There is no mention of her husband Samuel, late, divorced, or still living. There is no mention of where she was buried. As far as I know, she lived with her sister from 1910 til her death. Had Samuel died??? Looking for death certs for Samuel and Annie Fuhrman, Trenton, NJ. There are numerous social mentions for Annie found via Genealogybank.com.. thanks for any help/links you can offer. -Donna Carter Hello all.
