Lake This Indenture made the first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty Between Benjamin Fish and Maria M his wife of the City of Trenton in the County of Mercer & the State of New Jersey party of the first part and John S Lake of the Township of Nottingham and the State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Fish and Maria M his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred dollars legal money of the United States the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said John S Lake his heirs and assigns All that certain Lot or piece of ground situate lying and being on the East side of Union Street in the Village of Bloomsbury township of Nottingham County of Mercer and State of New Jersey commencing at the distance of thirty feet South of the premises late of Francis Callahan thence running along said Union street Southerly twenty five feet to a corner thence easterly with the same breadth of twenty five feet and at right angles with the Street aforesaid to the depth of one hundred and fifty feet (being the same premises which were conveyed to the said Benjamin Fish by Daniel W. Coxe and wife by deed dated the twelfth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two Together with all and singular the rights members privileges hereditaments and appurtenances; and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof; also all the estate right title interest use property possession claim and demand whatsoever either in law or equity of them the said Benjamin Fish and Maria M his wife of in and to the same To have and To hold unto the said John S Lake his heirs and assigns to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever. In Witness Whereof the said parties have hereunto & set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Benj Fish (seal) Maria M Fish (seal) Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Thos Gordon State of New Jersey ss: Be it remembered that on the day of April AD eighteen hundred and forty Before me Thomas Gordon one of the Masters of the Court of Chancery in and for said state personally appeared Benjamin Fish and Maria M his wife I being satisfied they are the grantors mentioned in the foregoing Deed and the contents thereof being by me made known to them acknowledged they signed sealed and delivered the same as their voluntary act and deed.
