Condolences to the family of member Beverly Griner McNally. Beverly passed away Tuesday morning April 6, 2010 at her home in Pennington, NJ after a long battle with cancer. Beverly was valedictorian of her high school class & graduated from Bucknell University cum laude where she received several honors. Beverly's husband of 50 years is the Rev. Thomas N. McNally & they have two daughters & three grandchildren. Beverly had a long time record of service in the American Baptist Church & was President of the American Baptist Churches in NJ 1986-87 & in 2000 was awarded the Homer J. Trucker Christian Service Award. At the church's national level, she was a member of the Statement Concern Committee & the General Board from 2006-2010, Committee on Christian Unity, current vice-president of National Ministries & the National Board of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty. In 2008, she published her book "Peter Griner and His Descendants." Beverly & I were high school classmates & we kept in touch over the years through our mutual family history & interest. In addition to being extremely intelligent, Beverly was a lovely & kind person who devoted her life to making the world a better place. I can say of her without any reservation, she fought the good fight, she finished the race & she kept the faith. Beverly will be greatly missed.
