There is a good possiblity they may have been father & son. If correct, Joseph Robins, Jr. would have been born before 1745. On March 31st 1758 Chief Justice Robert Hunter Morris, Esq. issued a warrant for the arrest of Jacob & Joseph Robins, Jr. to John Taylor High Sheriff of Monmouth Co. Jacob & Joseph Robins owed 32 pound & 5 shillings to Preserve Brown. The two Robins men refused to pay their debt. The above information from the Supreme Court documents provides additional clues towards a proposed lineage for: Daniel Robins & wife Hope Potter, son Joseph & wife Anna Pack, son Jacob Robins & wife Williamity, son Joseph Robins, Jr., & wife Meribah Salter. Joseph Robins, Jr. is mentioned in the Robins, Robbins of New Jersey book pg. 39 under Unsolved Mysteries. Could he have been a Quaker? The documents state charges by Perserve Brown were filed against "Joseph Robins otherwise known as Joseph Robins, Jr. & Jacob Robins otherwise known as Jacob Robins." It's possible Joseph wasn't actually a Junior. It would nice if we knew why the Robins men didn't want or was unable to pay their debt. It appears to be a debt they accumulated together. There are 11 legal size pages of the original documents with images on both sides. If you want copies I will send them to you. Sara
