John Robins b. 1758 & d. 1828 in Monmouth Co., NJ married Rebecca Stout on March 31, 1779 in Monmouth Co. The birth & death dates for John came from his obituary according to the research of Jeanette Rainey. Marriage Records of NJ 1665-1800, pg. 324 records their marriage. John & Rebecca Stout Robins had the following children:
Jonathan S. Robins
John Robins, Jr married Lydia?
Joshua Robins
Ezekial Robins
Sarah Robins married Henry Stoutenburgh
Leah Robins
Rebecca Robins married Rice Hadsell

I have no dates for the births of the children of John & Rebecca Robins. We can assume if this is correct they were born after the marriage date of 1779. I haven't found if the children assigned to John & Rebecca is accurate or not. Mrs. Rainey said their names came from land records & other documents but she gave no specifics. She contacted me in 1997 & haven't heard from her since. Does anyone have a current address for her & any details on John, Rebecca & children? Marian Stoutenburgh of NY owned the Elijah Robins Bible in the 1950's. Maybe there is a connection to the above Sarah Robins Stoutenburgh & Marian Stoutenburgh. Elijah Robins was a 8-Moses Robins descendant & possibly John Robins could be a Moses descendant. Where does John Robins fit on the Robins tree. Any ideas?
