Sincerely, Mitch Robbins Re: ROBINS - NJ sbmoore146 Posted: 10 Apr 2005 8:15 AM I saw your note saying you had researched the New Jersey Robins. Have you found anything that would help me get past my roadblock? I am descended from: John Robins - born 10 Apr 1760 in Sussex Co., NJ And Sarah Daily, then Philips Robins - born 05 Oct 1785 in Washington Co., PA And Nancy Boyd, then Rezin Robins - Abt. 1817 in OH And Harriet Boyd, then Samuel Kirk Robins - born 1845 in Shelby Co., IN And Sarah Margaret Clark, then Mary Margaret Robins - 20 Aug 1874 in Richland Co., IL And William Young Moore (Will and Mary are my grandparents) Family tradition says that the Robins family was Scottish and settled around Elizabethtown NJ in the latter half of the 1600s. This is consistent with Daniel and Hope Robins, but I’ve been unable to get farther back than John. It appears that John had a brother named Daniel that moved west at the same time John did. Re: ROBINS - NJ ljulmer204 Posted: 04 May 2013 10:10 AM Do you know of a Rachel Robbins (Robins) from (poss. Hunterdon Co.,)NJ, who md. Alburtis Arnwine in 1812 and settled in central PA (Northumberland-Montour-Columbia Cos.)? She d. in 1871 in Danville. What I have found about her points to some connection w/ a Daniel Robbins, but I've never learned her parentage. END
