My ancestor appears in Bridgewater Township for the first time September 1797 as Benjamin Beagle. My research points that Joseph Bedell as being the son of Jacob Bedell and Martha of New Providence New Jersey and Joseph served as a private during the Revolutionary War and lived in Westfield as shown in tax records from 1778 to 1781. I currently don't know how to access the census information for Joseph Bedell or find the records such as land deeds for East Precinct or were to look. If you can post a link to such sites or know some information on Joseph. It would be very appreciative if you can lend a hand. The family is notorious for having a lot of spelling variations in the records here are some of them -- Bedell Bedel Beddel Beddell Beddle Bedle Begel Beadel Beadel Beedel Beedle Beegle Beegel Beagle Beagel Budel Budle Biddel Biddle ryanmcabee85 (Ryan McAbee) Mahlon LAWRENCE and Lydia MULLEN https://www.ancestry.com/boards/localities.northam.usa.states.newjersey.counties.somerset/2642 Wed, 29 Nov 2017 14:23:27 GMT Looking for parents of Mahlon LAWRENCE born 1814 NJ and Lydia MULLEN born 1819 NJ.
