I am looking for any info on the parents of John Robbins - born Oct 11,
1788 in Independence Township, Warren County, NJ.  He married Elinor
(Ellen) Vliet on Sept 26, 1811.  They moved to Pontiac Michigan
(Oakland County) and both died there.  Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Marshall,

I don't think Jonathan Robbins is John- only because everything I have has
John Robbins moving directly to Oakland County, Michigan.  Even his  marriage
shows John Robbins. ( Perhaps Jonathan could be a brother of  John?  Do you
know his parents?) All of his children were born in  New Jersey. I know Daniel
Vliet Robbins stayed in Oakland County until his  death. This son is my Great -
Grandfather.

John Robbins and Elinor Vliet had 5 children:
Daniel Vliet Robbins who married (Mary) Elizabeth Moon
Hanna Robbins who married Luther B Phelps then Ephraim Earl
William V Robbins who married Emeline Beardslee
Melinda Robbins who marrield Ephraim Earl
Nancy Robbins I only have 1826 NJ as her birth.

I have the Vliet line traced back, but I'm stuck on John Robbins side! The
Vliets were also from New Jersey - Somerset County and Hunterdon  County.
