   I have placed some HINTS in the record in red ink. It is an attempt to
   give further information about the people in this list.  PLEASE DO NOT
   USE THESE NAMES AS POSITIVELY PROVEN CORRECT. The names I add come
   from good information I have gathered and should be used only after
   positive proof is made by the user.

   It is apparent that there are many different spellings for some of the
   names in these records.  In some cases I have grouped the same names
   with different spellings together.  Therefore, if you do not find a
   name in its proper alphabetical order be sure to continue looking
   through the list to see if it appears elsewhere under different
   spellings.  It is also aparent the record copiers had some difficulty
   deciphering the original handwriting.
