J. Vols., fell in the battle of Cedar Creek, Ya., at the head of his command, as acting Colonel of the 10th N. J., on the 19th of Oct., 1864. in his 32d year. Hager); bought 20 Dec, 1803, of Wm. Neiser, tavern in German Valley; had three children by first wife and five by the second.
