William Robbins b 1761,m 1789 to Eliz.Laughead, Bucks,PA. Oldest son named John, First daughter named Tamar. William is proved Rev. War pension. The paper trail for the non-Robins Y67 match's name is William Edward Livingston. A Peter Livingston is found on 1840 TENN. Census. One of the matches is from the Overton Co.TN area, a known Robbins family group, perhaps the same connected with our other DNA Robins showing Overton records? Deborah Chatman contributed the Y67 Livingston family in Overton TN Martha Miller confirms a TENN Y67 match for Clayton Miller. Both of my correspondents have no known Robbins connection. Possibly the result of out of wed-lock events or adoptions of biological Robbins? I have some questions for you about Tamar Robbins daughter of William & Elizabeth Laughead Robbins. I have a file (1994) from a descendant of your William & Elizabeth line that gives Tamar's birthdate as May 5, 1791, the Bible record found in William's Rev War pension file gives this same date for their son James but doesn't mention a daughter Tamar. Did I overlook the name Tamar in the Bible record? Were they twins? Possibly there is some other documentation for Tamar as a daughter of William & Elizabeth besides the Bible record? The file has Tamar Robbins married to Isaac Lewton with several children. Is this correct? Can you please set me on the right path with the subject of Tamar Robbins? Whoever decided it was James was in error. The difficulty in reading the poorly written very faded script makes it easy to mistake the oldfashioned script "T" for a J, the second letter is an A, the third letter is clearly an M, and the supposed ES is really AR, thus Tamar is correctly recorded, but misread as James. She is shown in all their family records as Tamar Robins Lewton. She and Isaac are buried near her parents at Scrogglesfield Cemetery in Carroll CO OH. The Carroll CO. OH Genealogical Society also records her as Tamar Robins, wife of Isaac Lewton. R The Lewton family is well recorded in genealogist Alan Gardner's book on the Lewton family found in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Tamar and Isaac are well recorded there. The remainder of the two pages are readable, and all subsequent records I have seen use those dates. No James names are found in their records in Williams branch. If William, b.1761 is fathered by a John, as might be expected, John must be an older father? Second wife?? William's sons in order, John, William, Daniel, Joseph, Benjamin, Ruel, as Bible has recorded, and census indicates. My William is not the Fayette County taxpayer William, of the 1780's,as I have thought. In reading the last will of that William, his son, is named as grown son Richard Robins. That makes him a generation older. In addition, until I read the filmed will I continually mistook William with a son Richard for my William. Group, The William Robins Bible record that June & I were referring to is in the group's file section near the top of the list. I noticed we were missing the 2nd page & have added it. It appears as the 3rd entry from the bottom of the list should anyone want to view these pages. Sara
