My database contains LAKEs from Gravesend only.  It does not contain other
LAKEs (New England, Maryland).  I think it might be worthwhile for you to look
harder into the New England LAKEs on the chance your James came from them.

The following are all the LAKEs in my DB with the correct timing to be the
father of your James.  If you're *sure* your James was born in NY then some
of these can be eliminated based upon that.

Other than timing, personally I don't see very much other evidence pointing
to anyone.  Based upon the names of James' children, you might want to look
first at the LAKEs named William, James, John or Isaac.
