Thanks Marshall This is what my cousin in NY sent: Thought you all would be interested in this obit. This is a grandson of Frank Myron Lake, Myron Lake's last son. X Leland H. Lake July 09, 2002 Former area resident Leland H. Lake, 85, of Peabody, Mass. and formerly of Honeoye Falls, N.Y., died July 3, 2002 following a lengthy illness. Born in Holcomb, N.Y. on December 26, 1916, Leland was the son of the late Frank and Amelia Lake. He attended East Bloomfield High School, graduating in 1935. He started his career with International Business Machines in Boston in December, 1939. He and his wife Julie, of Naples, were married in August 1942. Leland was inducted into the U.S. Army in December, 1942 and served three and a half years in the United States and Hawaii. In 1946 he returned to IBM in Providence, R.I. Leland moved to Erie, Pa. in 1947 and later to Rochester, N.Y. to complete 40 years with IBM. He moved to Peabody in May, 2001 to reside with his son, Steven. Leland served as a village trustee in Honeoye Falls for over 20 years. He was active in the fire and ambulance departments for over 40 years. Leland was also a member of the American Legion and First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd, Stuart and Raymond Lake. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Steven L. Lake and David W. (Rochelle) Lake of Draper, Utah; and his granddaughter, Elyse Lake. He also leaves many dear friends and relatives, including several nieces and nephews.
