Louise M. Garrison of Wallkill passed away August 5th 2018, at the age of 97. As a graduate of Englewood Hospital in Englewood she earned an RN degree and returned to St. Luke’s Hospital to work in the maternity ward, followed by a short stint as the school nurse at the Wallkill school system.

March 2nd, 1947, she married Charles D. Garrison, Sr. at the New Hurley Reformed Church. They raised a family of four children; worked the family farm and assisted her husband and son in providing auction services via Garrison Auction & Realty.

She is survived by her four children: Lola M. Saya, Charles D. Garrison, Jr., Gail E. Riggins and Glen E. Garrison; and beloved grandmother to nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters and her grandson, Scott Saya.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 9, at the Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home, 5 to 8 p.m. and the funeral service 11 a.m., Friday, August 10 at the New Hurley Reformed Church, Route 208, Wallkill, NY. Burial will follow in New Hurley Cemetery.
