Times Herald-Record Middlwtown, NY 14 Jul 2014 May 4, 1928 - April 11, 2014 Wallkill, NY Joyce M Wagner of Wallkill, NY, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 11, 2014, in Highland. She was 85. She was a very kind and gentle woman, and will be missed by many. The daughter of Lawson Upright and Edna Everts Upright, she was born May 04, 1928 in Highland. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a volunteer with Helping Hands at St. Charles. She was the widow of John H. "Toot" Wagner, Sr. Survivors include her daughters, Noreen Barron and husband, Steve of Ft. Ann, NY, and Mary Jane Holbert and husband, G. Scott of Walden; sons John "Jack" Wagner, Jr. at home, and William Wagner of Wallkill; 12 grandchildren: Gregory Holbert and wife, Diane, Heather Holbert, Lori (Barron) Centerbar and husband, Matthew, Kelli Barron, Jocelyn Broughton, Amy (Holbert) Sullivan and her husband, James, Jennifer Barron, Joseph Barron, Katie Wagner, John H. "Hank" Wagner, III, Kayla Wagner and William Liam Wagner; sister, Donna Van Duser and her husband, Greg; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Broughton and her husband, Arthur; great grandson, James "Jimmy" Holbert; brother, Thomas L. Upright. Joyce was a woman who was devoted to her family. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether it was in the pool, on the farm, Christmas Eve, or camping, she cherished every moment she spent with them. Her love and pride left a huge impact on their lives. She will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Phyllis Coffey for her many years of compassion and kindness. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bonaventura Ave., Wallkill, NY. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, Rt. 44/55, Gardiner, NY. Fr. Matthew will officiate. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery in Gardiner. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Ste. 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
