OBITUARY Ronald W Lake April 4, 1927 – May 6, 2019 Ronald William Lake 92 years old Marshalls Creek, Pa 18335 Monday May 6, 2019 Passed peacefully at home under hospice care of Spiritrust Lutheran Hospice Ronald W. Lake was born on April 4, 1927. He is the son of Ronald Harold Lake and Mary Jane Leach. He is brother to Shirley Tramutola and Elaine Fournier. He was married to Elizabeth Scali Lake on April 02, 1960 in Rome, Italy. They shared 49 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on December 14, 2009. He was born and raised on Staten Island, NY. He is a graduate of Port Richmond High School, Staten Island, NY. He retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked for 20 years as a letter carrier. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy on active duty from April 4, 1944 to his retirement on April 30, 1963. His military service spanned WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. He resided in Staten Island, NY from 1963 to 1988 before relocating to the Poconos, PA, where he lived until his passing. He was passionate about his family, military service, hunting and the NY Mets. His daughters and their spouses survive him: Mary MacDevette and Kevin MacDevette and Carol Feely and Richard Feely. His Grandchildren and spouses: Ronald Elia and Kendra Brennan, Kristin Green and Mark Green, Jayne Vignuli, Michael Vignuli, Mark Elia and Savannah Najour, Karen Decker and Giles Decker and John Clark and Amanda Clark. His Great Granddaughters Isabella Green, Sawyer Decker, Sofia Green, Scarlett Elia, and Rowan Decker. He was excited about the arrival of his first Great Grandson due later this month. There will be a viewing on May 10,2019 from 6pm to 9 pm and a service will be on May 11, 2019 at 1:30pm at Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home in Stroudsburg, Pa. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at Prospect Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Monroe County Joint Veterans Honor Guard, 548 Pleasant Ridge Road, Cresco PA, 18326. The family wants to thank Spiritrust Lutheran Hospice for the care and support offered during his final journey.
