My mom and I descend from Rebecca Lake. She was born Aug. 30, 1763 (maybe
in NY) and married James Van Steenbergh on Feb. 20, 1779 in Stillwater,
NY. We have been trying to figure out if she had any siblings, where she
was born, and her parents.

We don't know if Rebecca descends from the Lakes of Gravesend, NY or the
Lakes of Connecticut.
