Lake & Anna Jane Cosgrove I have some information for you on Michael Lake. Did you see my listing on Ancestry.com? I have him listed as Michael T. Lake from the 1880 census records, but after your message, I see on the census it could be Michael F. Lake. His parents were Henry Mather and Eliza Lake, and can be traced back to Thomas Lake (b.1666) and Sarah Peat of Stratford, Ct. Michael was living with his parents in Lyons, Wayne, N.Y. in 1880, which is only about 20 miles from Seneca Falls, so he's probably the right one. I don't have any of his descendants listed, so I'm glad to have the information in your message. From: Sent: Wednesday, August 02, 2006 7:53 PM Subject: Michael F. Lake & Anna Jane Cosgrove I looked up your info and I'd say its most likely him. In Mike and Anne's children there is a Frederich H. That could stand for Henry the grandad. And Michael's F. could stand for Frederich. In a handwritten paper given to me by my Uncle Richard J. Byrnes (mother Mary O'leary Byrnes) he has just Michael Lake & family but Mike does have a son "Freddie" listed by Uncle Richard. Uncle Dick (b.1923) didn't get into computers so this was probably all word of mouth from his mother Mary O'Leary Byrnes whose mother was a Cosgrove. So I assume they all knew the New York people.
