Subject: Marshall Lake?

Hi,
    I am doing research on my family name (WICKS)and have found that we may
have one relative, that is unaccounted for?
    I have a distant relative, Marshall Lake.  His father's name was Lewis
Lake & his mother's name was Matilda. He married Hattie Wicks in 1904. In the
late 1800's the family was living in Lexington, North Carolina.
    Could there be a connection by chance?
