Star Beacon Ashtabula OH January 15, 2013 Joyce L. Case ANDOVER - Joyce L. Case, age 57, of Andover, Ohio, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at her home. She was born June 4, 1955, in Greenville, Pa., a daughter of Richard B. and Joan (Hall) Burns. A long time resident of Andover, Joyce was formerly of Kinsman and attended Joseph Badger High School. After many years of service, she retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She formerly attended the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Andover. Joyce started doll making as a hobby and went on to teach classes in it, as well as, selling dolls she made. She also enjoyed ceramics and sewing. Most of all, Joyce will be remembered as a people person. She loved to meet and talk to new people. When her children were growing up, she dearly loved staying home to care for them and spending time with them and her husband. Joyce is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Case of Andover, whom she married March 2, 1974; a daughter, Megan Case of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Nathan (Colleen) Case of Niles, Ohio; a daughter, Lindsey Case of Columbus, Ohio; her granddaughter, Avery E. Case, and grandson, Jackson G. Case, both of Niles; her mother, Joan Burns of Hartford, Ohio; her sister, Susan (Larry) Perry of Orwell, Ohio; and her brother, Doug (Jeri) Burns of Hartford, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Donna Case. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
