She was born on February 27, 1926 in Columbus to the late Ransom and Ruth (Havens) Turnbull. A graduate of Sunbury High School in 1944, she was the pianist for choir and played trombone in the band. She assisted with the family farm and was a homemaker. Member of the Centerburg Church of Christ and the Learn and Do Club, she enjoyed attending garage sales and gardening, both flowers and vegetables. Her friends always enjoyed June’s fun-loving spirit and the jokes she told. Quite the traveler, she and her husband enjoyed trips abroad, to Europe, Japan, Ireland and just about all 50 states. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her husband of 65 years: Don, Daughter: Bonnie (Dave) Beck of Hillsboro, Son: Keith (Ruth Ann) of Cardington, 6 Grandchildren: Eric, Amy, Sara, Tara, Adam, Abigail, 10 Great-Grandchildren: Phillip, Tyler, Mikayla, Dawson, Sarah, Cole, Ransom, Joey, Kylie, Anna, Sister: Carolyn Sue Moody of Vera Beach, FL, sister-in-law: Maxine Longshore, brother-in-law: Robert Linnabary, many nieces, nephews, and friends, including special friends; Henry and Judy Jordon of Florida, Jean and Jim Marsh of St. Louis. She was preceded in death by a sister Emogene Bell, brothers-in-law: Carl Bell and Larry Moody. Friends may call Monday from 5 – 7p.m. and one hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. services Tuesday all to be held at the Centerburg Church of Christ, 3830 S. Columbus Rd., Centerburg, with Fred Albrecht evangelist officiating, interment Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg. Arrangements entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.
