Harold G. Robbins, 93
   Harold G. Robbins, 93, of Athens, passed away at Robert Packer Hospital
on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 following a brief illness.
   He was born August 8, 1914 in Athens, the son of the late Grover Robbins
and Helen Welch.
   Harold was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sayre.  He was a
graduate of Athens High School class of 1934.  He was employed with the
Athens school system as a custodian from 1964 to 1979.  He retired in 1979
after 15 years of faithful service.  Harold was a member of Masonic Lodge
No. 70 F&AM in Athens since 1948.
   He was predeceased by his daughter Diane (Robbins) Martin.
   Harold is survived by his wife of 72 years, Emma Chambers Robbins; his
grandson, Blake R. (Dianna) Martin of Elizabethtown, Pa.; his
great-granddaughter, Molly Lee Martin of Elizabethtown, Pa.; his former
son-in-law, Paul Martin of Ephrapa, Pa. and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
   Friends and family may call on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 1 to 2 p.m.
at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home Inc., 225 South Main St., Athens, Pa.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rodney Saylor of the
St. John Lutheran Church in Sayre officiating.  Burial will be in the
Tioga Point Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made in Harold's memory
to St. John Lutheran Church's Organ Fund, 207 S. Hopkins Street, Sayre, PA
