Lake, aged 79 years. 3/3/1927 12:00:00 AM Lake, Byron N. -- 2/26/1927 Byron N. Lake, a resident of Newtown for several years, having formerly had charge of the stables at the Brick Hotel and later, and until quite recently conducted a service station on West Washington avenue, died Friday morning, Feb. 25, in the Oncologic Hospital, Phila. On Feb. 16, he was taken from Newtown to Dr. Randall's private hospital, Chestnut Hill, from which he was removed to the institution in which he died. He suffered from an infection of the face and of late had declined very rapidly. 3/1/1923 12:00:00 AM Cox, John James 18M Wednesday John James Cox, four and one half years of age, died at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Morris Lake, 232 Buckley street Bristol, on Wednesday. The little fellow had not been ill, so very long, but was unable to withstand the rigors of his illness. The deceased was the son of Adelia and the late James Cox. Funeral was held Saturday, February 24 8/2/1928 12:00:00 AM Gilmore, Mrs. Mary K. 74 7/28/1928 After a lingering illness of months, Mrs. Mary K. Gilmore, widow of Amos Gilmore passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank H. Lake, Mechanicsville, Saturday morning, July 28. Mrs. Gilmore was 74 years of age and a resident of Buckingham all her life. In 1875 she married Amos K. Gilmore, who preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1920. She is survived by six children, Charles Gilmore, Buckingham; Mrs. Minnie Ashton, New Hope; Mrs. Lucie Lake, Mechanicsville: Harry, Yardley; Frank, Rockledge, and Mrs. William Goss, Mechanicsville. Fourteen grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Gilmore was a member of the Methodist church and was also a member of the ladies' aid of New Hope. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon with interment at Bucking Friends' burying grounds. Services were conducted by Rev. Jacob A. Long, New Hope. The bearers were her grandparents, Lawrence, Robert and Harry Gilmore, George Ashton and Paul and Watson Lake.
