The John below is not the same man. Any relation of the two? The OTHER John Robins is also recorded in the Bucks Co. PA tax records. This John is always shown in Lower Makefield twp.very low tax bracket: He is shown as John Robins of Lower Makefield pays taxes several years, the first tax appearance is 1775, in 1779 he is paying tax again in Lower Makefield twp. Has he been identified and which line might he be in? A Joseph is shown on nearby Upper Makefield list tax at the same period. Some of this became Solebury twp later. Has anyone heard of the Solebury lady TAMAR Roberts who makes a will there in the 1780's? Tamar is a ROBINS female name of Wm Robins (b.1761)1st daughter. While working on my William Robins b. 1761 who mar. in Bucks Co, later lived 1790 in Fayette Co PA at Springhill twp I found the following records: Warrantee Name from the Fayette Warrantee Deeds as published in the Penn. Archives is shown as DANIEL ROBINS, 381 1/2 acres23 Jan 1785, surveyed May1785, Patent date 23 April to Wm Robins, admin in patent book P17-332. The following entries are from the INDEX to Grantees and Grantors: Several divisions of the property then made, showing division deed as follows: Daniel Robbins to John Swearingen 1783, 16 June. The next deeds are in a group # in deed book As # 344, 350, 351 352,353, 358, 1788 Deeds show 1. to Wm Robins, a deed from Aaron,, Apr,11,1788. 2. Deed to John Robins from Jacob Robins, 23 April 1788. 3.Deed to John Robins ,mill from Mercy Robins, 24 April 1788, These indicated a division of a mill property on Georges Creek . The above are the earlier entries seemingly the initial property division. The 1790-1793 Deed Index shows these entries: 1,Willam Robins deed to Jacob Robins, 3 May 1790 on Georges Creek. #333. 2.The remainder of the 1793 deeds # 357-364 are William , John and Aaron to Thomas Clare in Springhill twp, and again in Springhill, William, John and Aaron deed to Paul Hann, ALL dated Nov 2, 1793. Reading the actual deeds would give more information. Are any of these records new material for our Robins groups? I have a John born abt. 1797 married to a Sarah. John's father might have been a Wm.but we are lacking documentation.... Currently I am excited about family info that I am finding via newpaperarchive.com by subscription. My local library subscribes for the local newspaper that dates back to the 1870's. I have found tons of gems for my local His.Soc. So, I felt comfortable in my own subscription to all newspapers avail. online. So far I have found some Robbins Obits., wedding anniv.notices with some family history, individuals that are not including on rootsweb.com yet. There was a congressman, a theater manager, etc. I am focusing on Fayette Co. and only just starting to find individuals. Check with your local library if this is of interest.
