I found this info on www.lowerluzernecounty.com.  I think there is a
member that has/had Robbins family in Columbia County PA.  This is a
very interesting website for those looking for family in Luzerne Co PA.

Robbins, John F.- is a miller and dealer in flour and feed at
Conyngham. He was born in Columbia county, Pa., October 7th, 1830. His
wife was Julia A. Hughes, of Butler township. He enlisted August 13th,
1861, in the Union service, and passed through the several grades to
lieutenant colonel of the 96th Pennsylvania volunteers. He was in the
battles of Fair Oaks, Antietam and the Wilderness.

Do you know if the parents of John F Robbins were Wm & Elizabeth
Laughead Robbins? June mentioned a John Robbins in message #250. I
was curious if these men were in any way connected?

Col John F Robins from Columbia County, PA is not in my direct line, but I thought there was a group member that had ties to him.  I may be wrong.  I found this information on the colonel while doing research on my line and thought it might be of interest.  I have his death date, but not here at home.  I will post it later.  Wish I could be of more help.

I will have to look through my info on "various Robbins" that I have at home.  Will see if I can get you an answer on this.  I do know that Col John F Robbins died in Conyingham, PA on May 7, 1905 at the age of 73.  Does this help?  The Colonel's death is listed in the W-B Almanac of 1905.
