1a. Joshua Robbins Posted by: "Garry Heagy" Date: Sun Apr 9, 2017 11:26 am ((PDT)) I'm a descendant of Joshua Robbins born 1777 who lived in Columbia County, PA. I've been researching his family. I agree with Sara Hoffman than Sincy has no support for being Joshua's father. Someone said that he is mentioned in the Joshua Robbins family bible. I'm looking for a quote, copy of the page. What is interesting in the unsupported information from Joshua's bible is that the supposed sons of Sincy were: The names of these sons were known to be; - WILLIAM, VINCENT, JOSHUA, JOHN and JOSEPH ROBBINS. I believe that Robbins with these names were brothers or very closely related. They all appear to have New Jersey roots and lived in Columbia County, PA. In my research, I haven't found any record of these people anywhere but in Pennsylvania, even though I've put a lot of time into it. Notes: - William: taxed in Upper Mount Bethel Twp, Northampton County, PA, in 1781. I've found no other Robins/Robbins in Northampton County around that time. He's been confused with other William/William's. Sons John and Joseph. - Elizabeth Robbins: probably a sister, married Robert Richart about 1785, who lived in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. Elizabeth was Robert's 2nd wife. I don't know if they married in Northampton County or Columbia County. I'd expect her to be living with her parents but noluck there. One son named Vincent. - Vincent: married and lived in New Jersey until about 1793. Sons John and William. - Joshua: the records are reasonably good after he moved to Pennsylvania - John: generally commenting, no one knows about him. Son William - Joseph: information is good, his first sons names were William and Vincent. I would very much like to correspond with anyone who has additional information on this family. I've collected a reasonable amount of information on these families. Garry Heagy
