I do so appreciate the replies by members who have a connection to or
knowledge of Fayette Co. and southwestern PA. Some have reveled facts that
I was unaware of.  For what it is worth I am coping a brief sketch of
my line several generations back.  The info regarding William Augustine
Robbins came to me through Leona Cheeney twenty-five years ago or more.
Is anyone familiar with Mrs. Cheeney, I presume that she is deceased by now.

Yes, I had my brother Jim tested for 67 markers, the familytreedna.com test is
#107531.  I listed John b. abt. 1797 m. Sarah as the earliest known ancestor.
Leona Cheeney believed John's parents to be William and Mary Evans Robbins,
but I haven't proven it.

Was Leona Cheeney related to the William & Mary Evans Robbins family? I'm
certain I haven't seen any genealogy written by her so not familiar with
her or her work.
