PA "Back In Olden Times" I do so appreciate the replies by members who have a connection to or knowledge of Fayette Co. and southwestern PA. Some have reveled facts that I was unaware of. For what it is worth I am coping a brief sketch of my line several generations back. The info regarding William Augustine Robbins came to me through Leona Cheeney twenty-five years ago or more. Is anyone familiar with Mrs. Cheeney, I presume that she is deceased by now. 1 William Robbins + Mary Evans 2 Daughter 2 William Augustine Robbins + Margaret Dillinger/Dillner 3 George Robbins 3 Alan Robbins 3 William Augustine Robbins (Jr.?) 3 Daniel Robbins + 4 Frank Robbins 4 Allen D. PA "Back In Olden Times" Sara, Yes, I had my brother Jim tested for 67 markers, the familytreedna.com test is #107531. I listed John b. abt. 1797 m. Sarah as the earliest known ancestor. Leona Cheeney believed John's parents to be William and Mary Evans Robbins, but I haven't proven it. PA "Back In Olden Times" Mary, Was Leona Cheeney related to the William & Mary Evans Robbins family? I'm certain I haven't seen any genealogy written by her so not familiar with her or her work.
