WV or Fayette Co. PA area. Does anyone in the group know if they are of English decent or Scottish, i.e. Daniel 1627-1714. I am wondering with all of the DNA testing if any known descendants of this couple have been tested. This sample is a definite match with the known descendants of Daniel Robinson of Scotland. Isaac ROBINS (b 1792, son of Jonathan ROBINS & Mary HUFF) married Mary RUPLE who was a daughter of Joseph RUPLE. Joseph had another daughter, Sarah, who most likely married a LOUGHEAD/LOUGHHEAD. They all lived in Hunterdon Co NJ, probably Alexandria Twp. Also, in a small ROBINS family cemetery (started by Dinah (ROBINS) GARRISON, daughter of Isaac ROBINS (c1735-1783)), now named the Garrison-Tharp Cemetery, there is buried a Joseph LOUGHHEAD (1820-c1851). Apparently, from the 1850 census, Joseph LOUGHHEAD lived in the house next to Jonathan ROBINS and Charity (LAWSHE) ROBINS. Jonathan would be a first cousin of Dinah (ROBINS). They all lived in Alexandria Twp. It looks like the LOUGHHEADs and the ROBINS had ties in Hunterdon Co. It appeared that he fit into the Scottish line, but have read submissions on Roostweb for example that his family came from England. I was getting lost between speculation and fact, another plus for genetic genealogy! Thanks again,
