Asbury Park Press – Neptune NJ – Monday March 21, 2005 Stephanie C. Bajnarowicz, longtime North Plainfield resident LUMBERTON -- Stephanie C. Bajnarowicz of Lumberton, formerly of North Plainfield, entered into eternal rest Saturday (March 19, 2005) in Mount Holly. Born Jan. 12, 1917, in Simpson, Pa., she has been a resident of Lumberton, where she lived with her daughter for the past seven years. Prior to retiring, she was employed as an inspector by Thermionics Products in North Plainfield. A 46-year resident of North Plainfield, she was a past president of the North Plainfield Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary, past president of the VFW Storr-Richie Post 506 Ladies Auxiliary, Plainfield, as well as a past president of the Altar Rosary Society and communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church, Plainfield. Mrs. Bajnarowicz was a Girl Scout troop leader from 1960 to 1967 in the Washington Rock GS Council, North Plainfield. She and her late husband, Alex, were also active members and community volunteers with the Telephone Pioneers of America, Union chapter. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Alexander Vincent Bajnarowicz on Oct. 8, 1997; her parents, Michael and Agnes Gierczak Gombita; two brothers, Andrew and John Gombita; a sister, Mary Robbins; a niece, Cynthia Ann Franceski; and two nephews, Thomas John and Stephen Gombita. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie M. Bajnarowicz Banks, son-in-law, Anthony Banks, and granddaughter, Rachel Alexandra Banks of Lumberton; her sister, Michele Franceski and niece, Michele R. Franceski of Florence, S.C.; and nephew, Raymond Robbins of Carbondale, Pa. Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 W. Eighth St., Plainfield, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Plainfield and interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
