I think your father Les must've been brothers with my grandfather (Grover). That would make you first cousins with my father, Edward William Garrison. Did you every meet him? I am sorry to report that Dad passed away in 2003, following some complications with kidney failure. I do have a little additional genealogical information that might be of interest - my cousin Robert Garrison, son of Dad's brother Robert Lloyd Garrison, did a DNA test a couple of years ago. The result came back as a match to the surname Robbins. This suggests that one of our male Garrison ancestors may actually have been a Robbins. This could happen when, for example, orphaned children were adopted by extended family or others. And, we have at least one tentative Robbins family connection, dating back to Luzerne County,PA. I have not yet followed up on this. However, if you were to do a DNA test and it also came back as Robbins, then that would help us to further pin down when a Robbins adoption into a Garrison family might've happened. Either way, I am so glad to hear from you, and I hope that you get this email and respond. Best wishes - Mariann (Garrison) Johnston CORRECTION: That's Robert Melvin (not Lloyd) GARRISON, in the previous post! Sorry about that - Mariann
