From the 1800 census for Fishing Creek Twp, Columbia (then Northumberland) County, PA: Robans, John 10010-00010 From the 1810 census for Fishing Creek Twp, Columbia (then Northumberland) County, PA: Robans, Jno 30010-11010 From the 1830 census for Plain Twp, Franklin County, OH: Robins, John 00011001-00100001 John 200001-02001 Mathias 000001-22001 Daniel 100001-21001 Samuel 20001-10001 Mathias and Daniel are sons of Thomas H. Robbins, son of William. Samuel is a son of John. I'm suggesting the younger John is also a son of Thomas, since apparently 3 sons of Thomas moved to Ohio (original information from Julie Stahl) File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Vicki Tieche mvtieche@att.net on April 19, 2011 ************************************************ BURIALS IN FANCHER / MAPLE GROVE CEMETERIES HARLEM TOWNSHIP, DELAWARE COUNTY, OHIO FULL RECORDS OF THOSE BORN BEFORE 1850 NAMES ONLY OF THOSE BORN AFTER 1850 2010 Compilation by Vicki Tieche FANCHER CEMETERY John Robbins, d. You indicated in an earlier post his father was William Robins but not William Robins 1728-1811. Do you have the birth & death date & places for this William Robins father of John Robins 1780-1850? William Robbins, born 25 Dec, 1753, died 9 Nov, 1831. I’m guessing he was born in NJ. He died in Greenwood Twp, Columbia County, PA. He’s probably buried in the Methodist Cemetery. In 1780, William was living in Mount Bethel Twp, Northampton County, PA, where John would have been born and where he served in the Revolution. Their children: William Robbins Abraham Robbins Thomas Robbins Daniel Robbins (1795-1879), b. Fishing Creek, Columbia, PA John Robbins Matthias Robbins Isaac Robbins Charity Robbins Mercy Robbins Daniel (1795) lived in eastern PA until 1825 when he went to Franklin Co., OH. In 1833 he went to Bloom, Wood, OH, where his was the 3rd family to settle there. I believe John (#5 above) to be my ancestor. Perhaps he helped Daniel and Matthias settle in Bloom and then returned to Plains, New Albany, Franklin County, OH. Wood County was created in 1820 from from the lands purchased from the Wyandot, Seneca, Delaware, Shawnee and other tribes as a result of the Lower Maumee Treaty of 1817. There is a strong oral tradition in our family that our John Robbins (c.1800-1884) married a Wyandot. His first wife, Mary, was born in PA, so she was unlikely Wyandot.
