My grandmother was Eliz. Douglas Wallace Thayne. She married James Wilkie
in Cowdenbeath, Fife, Scotland in 1911. I have traced the Thayne line back
to Thomas who was born in Tullieallen ,Clackmannan, Scotland in the1770's. He
was a "smith" in Charlestown, Fife ,and he married Margaret mcintyre in 1804
( they are logged as "TINNES" in the old parish register ).One of their
son's Daniel married Janet Curry in Inverkeithing, Fife in 1834. Their son
William Ross, born 1855/6 is my g-grandfather. It is difficult to track this
particlar surname spelling as it has so many phonetic variations. Even my
grandmother is registered as Thyane and it was only standardised as Thayne
in my g-grandfather's time. Any help would be appreciated!

Does anyone know of or have a Journal or diary of Janet Lochead. This
is the same Janet that married Ebenezer Thane in Scotland. I am trying to
patch together her life after her husband died in Canada. There is a lot of
her story that is missing between Canada and Utah. Would like to know about
her conversion and Baptism. Also about who she stayed with and everything
in between. I would deeply appreciate any help I can find. Thanks...PS I
am descended from John Johnson Thayne and would like any stories from that
side of the family also and will rescipricate in kind. Thank you

I'm working on a one-name tree - SLORANCE - and surfing the web I found a
name: Flodie Slorance Thayne, that I would like to include in the Slorance
tree. Does anyone have any information on this Thayne family?
