ALFREDA M. "FREDA" TAGART Walden, N.Y. Alfreda M. "Freda" Tagart, of
Walden, a homemaker, and a lifelong resident of the area, died Sunday,
March 30, 2003 at Hallmark Nursing Home, New Paltz. She was 89. The
daughter of Harry Lewis and Hilma Jacobson Griffin, she was born August
26, 1913 in Newburgh, N.Y. She was the widow of the late Russell W.
Tagart. Survivors include one son, Robert W. Tagart and his wife, Mary, of
Montgomery; one daughter, Hazel T. Lake of Wallkill; five grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Ivy Marie
Tagart. There will be no visitation. Graveside committal services will
take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor. Arrangements
were made by the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc., Walden.
