Alice Lake Bertram
    Graveside services for Mrs. Alice Lake Bertram, 82, will be held Sunday
at 3 p.m. in the Northview Cemetery with Elder Kenneth Brantley officiating.
    A lifelong resident of Laurens County, Mrs. Bertram was the daughter of
the late Thomas Edgar Couey and the late Julia Abbott Couey.  She retired
from Oatts Drugs and was of the Methodist faith.  She was preceded in death
by her husbands, Ralph Lake and James D. Bertram.  Mrs. Bertram died
Thursday.
    Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Henry Brantley
of Tennille; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Lynda Lake of Centerville;
grandsons, Willard Thomas of Swainsboro and Brain Brantley of Savannah and
several nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:30
p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
    Townsend Brothers Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
