Tallahassee Democrat; Tallahassee FL; 2002-5-4 LAKE Allan Bart, 40, a client of FACT and employee of Winn-Dixie Food Stores, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, from injuries sustained in a car and pedestrian accident. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. EDT Sunday at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Allan Bart Lake Memorial for the Apalachee FACT program, FACT Program, P.O. Box 32302, Tallahassee, FL 32302. Abbey Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Lake was a beloved son, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend. A native of Ft Lauderdale, he recently relocated to Tallahassee, where he was a client of the Florida Assertive Community program. An employee of Winn-Dixie Food Stores for more over eight years, he worked at the Tharpe Street Winn-Dixie just before his death. Mr. Lake was a member of the Shomrei Torah Congregation. He was a talented artist, and had a deep passion for music, especially the Beatles. His deepest love was for his family. With the help of the FACT program, and the loving support of his family, Allan achieved his lifelong dream of independent living. His gentle, kind, and loving manner touched everyone who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Beverly and Gerald Lake of Ft Lauderdale; brothers, Stephen Tessel of Tallahassee and Craig Lake of Tamarac; sisters, Michele Ackermann and Bonnie Greenblatt of Tallahassee; 2 nephews, Joy and Brandon Ackermann of Tallahassee; great-niece, Philomena Ackermann; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Tessel of Tallahassee and Lisa Lake of Tamarac; brothers-in-law, John Ackermann and Martin Greenblatt of Tallahassee; a dear friend, Bonnie Flynn.
