Former Poultry Farmer, Odessa, NY Age 96, of The Falls Home, Montour Falls, NY formerly of Odessa, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2000. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 534 Church St., Odessa, NY on Friday, June 23, 2000 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. His funeral and committal service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 AM. He is survived by his wife, Luella V. Lake; daughter, Margaret (Peggy) & James Welsh of Ithaca, NY; son, Thomas A. & Rachel Lake of Odessa, NY; grandchildren, Thomas J. Welsh of Lake Mary, FL, Jennie Parkinson of Roy, UT, David T. Welsh of Sandy, UT, Dr. Mark W.B. Welsh of Salt Lake City, UT and Timothy P. Welsh of Ithaca, NY; great grandchildren, Amber & Derek Welsh, Brittanie & Devon Parkinson, Evan Welsh, Ryan & Ethan Welsh; sister, Bertha Phillips of Campbell, NY; numerous nieces & nephews. Mr. Lake was a former Trustee for the Beaver Dams Rural School System. He was a member of the New York State Farm Bureau and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler county. Mr. Lake will be best known as a Beef and Poultry farmer in the Beaver Dams area for over 40 years and after moving to Odessa, NY, he was a Poultry Farmer for over 30 years.
