Charlotte Observer (online edition) Charlotte, NC December 9, 2002 Green, Andrea Beverly Lake Andrea Beverly Lake Green, 70 years old, died Saturday, December 7th 2002, at Presbyterian Hospital. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Charles D. Page and Reverend Michael Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. in the Parlor of the church. The daughter of the late Andrew and Sydney Lake of Coral Gables, she is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bill Green Sr., of Charlotte. She was greatly beloved by her children; Mrs. Piper Franz of Matthews, Bill Green Jr., of Charlotte, Mrs Pamela Sielaff of Matthews, Mrs. Laurie Milligan of Charlotte, Ms. Vickie Green of Bethel Alaska, and Ms. Bethany Shaw of Berlin Maryland; 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and by her sister Mrs. Jeannie Lake Pfleger of Coral Gables, Florida. Andrea was born in Trenton, N.J. Shortly after that, her family moved to Coral Gables, Fla, where she attended grade school, graduated from the last class of Ponce de Leon High School, and attended the University of Miami, majored in Art, and also met her future husband here. In 1970, she moved to Charlotte, where with her husband, she designed, built, and ran several restaurants, notably The Studio, in Charlottetown Mall, and Benedictines, on Fairview Rd. She was an accomplished artist, writer, gourmet cook, interior decorator, and businesswoman. In addition, she was completely devoted to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to all her family. Loved by all, she always made a friend. She saw and spoke only of the good in others. Her life made everything beautiful and fun for all who knew her. Andrea had a deep faith in Jesus Christ, and was a vibrant testimony to anyone she met. Her presence will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, and especially the nurses of the Presbyterian CCU, third floor, who fought so hard to make the last weeks of Andreas life, positive and painless.
