The Chronicle-Herald, Volume 59, Number 187 {Issue number confirmed} Halifax NS Canada Monday August 6, 2007 LAKE, Andrew Eugene - It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew Eugene Lake, 49, of Bramber, Hants Co., announce his sudden passing on August 2, 2007, at home. Born February 23, 1958, in Belmont, Hants Co., he was a son of Gordon Lake (Kathleen Levy), Windsor, and the late Louise Lake (Levy). Andrew attended vocational school, taking a mechanics course as a young man and ran his own garage business in Summerville for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and could always be found helping someone out or heading somewhere on his tractor. He lived for the moment and will be best remembered as a dad by daughter, Amy (Colin) Ross, Summerville; sons, Eric, Bramber; and Ian, Alberta; granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Emily and Hailey Ross; sisters, Terry (Graham) Hart, Belmont; Susan Lake, Halifax; Gloria Brown, Edmonton; Maryanne (Larry) Baxter, Windsor; brothers, John (Shelley), Belmont; Neil, Kempt. Besides his mother, Andrew was predeceased by his sisters, Margaret Sandford and Pamela in infancy. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A private family memorial service will be held in J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Highway 215, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating, with interment of ashes at a later date in Avonview Cemetery, Kempt.
