Springfield Union-News, Springfield MA, 2001-5-23 Andrew Lake WEST SPRINGFIELD - Andrew Lake, 70, of 354 Rogers Ave., died Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He owned and operated nightclubs in Springfield for 49 years. Born in South Hadley, he lived in Springfield for 18 years and Wilbraham for 26 years before moving to this town six years ago. He graduated from Springfield College, was a communicant of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Springfield and served in the Army during the Korean War. He received the Army of Occupation (Germany) Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He belonged to Ahepa and the Melha Shrine Temple. He leaves his wife, the former Brenda J. Bernier; two sons, Louis J. of West Springfield and Drew of Springfield; two daughters, Kim A. Silva and Cynthia R. Gomez, both of Hampden; and six grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday morning at the cathedral, with burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
