Born June 22, 1917, in Summerville, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Christina (Armstrong) Lake. Neet was a very caring person and her number one priority in life was her family and she was always putting others before herself. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Pauline Sanford, Erma (Chuck) Kelly, Becky Card; son, Bob (Linda), 14 grandchildren; many great and great great-grandkids; brother, Brad (Thelma); sister-in-law, Doris Lake; son-inlaw, Ron Benedict. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Wade; daughter, Lil Benedict; grandson, Greg Cooper; brothers, Walter and Arch Lake; sister, Marge Lake; son-in-law, Glendon Sanford. Visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 7-9 p.m. in J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215, Summerville. Funeral service Saturday, April 9, 2 p.m. in Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville with a reception to follow in the Summerville Fire Hall. A private family committal service will be held in Loyal Hill Cemetery, Summerville. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Neet can be made to Loyal Hill Cemetery.
