Mrs. Ann Marie Lake

     A funeral for Ann Marie Lake, 74 of Sarasota, Fla. was held at 1 p.m.
Wednesday in Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh.  She died on Monday,
October 2, 2000.
     Mrs. Lake was a native of Newport News and a former member of the
Newport News Garden Club, Elks Lodge and Jaycees.
     Survivors include four daughters, including Carol Lake Bass of Mathews;
a son; two sisters, and twelve grandchildren.
     The service was conducted by the Rev. Theodore Haddix Jr.  Burial was
private.
     Memorial contributions may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue
Squad, P.O. Box 723, Mathews, VA  23109.
     Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, was in charge.
